The Pittsburgh Steelers will need a couple of WRs to step up

Now the signings of Antwaan Randle El and Arnaz Battle make sense as they will need to step up along with 2nd year WR Mike Wallace.  Wallace will likely step into the starting lineup for the Steelers in 2010.  He played in all 16 games for the Steelers as a rookie and he caught 39 passes for 756 yards (19.4 avg) with 6 TD grabs.  He also carried the ball 6 times for 48 yards (8.0 ypc) last season.  It will be interesting to see how well Wallace gets open against starting CBs instead of nickel and dime backs.  He will have to step up his game to succeed.  Randle El will likely take over his old role as the #3 WR with the Steelers.  He played in all 16 games for the Redskins last season in which he caught 50 passes for 530 yards (10.6 avg) without a TD grab.  It will be interesting to watch the Steelers’ WRs in 2010 as the corps got a lot weaker overnight.
