The Pittsburgh Steelers thumped the Cleveland Browns last Sunday which has been pretty much expected as of late.  The Steelers were 8-0 against Romeo Crennel (Cleveland’s ex-head coach).  It was not all good for the Steelers in this game as Browns’ linebackers Willie McGinest and D’Qwell Jackson knocked Ben Roethlisberger silly with a concussion.  He layed on the field for several minutes before going to the hospital.  The Steelers’ need better play in the passing game from the O-Line or they aren’t going very far in the playoffs this season.  Roethlisberger completed 9 of 14 passes for 110 yards with a interception before he left the game injured.  Byron Leftwich played very well completing 7 of 12 passes for 80 yards.  He also had a 8-yard TD run.  Willie Parker also had a solid game rushing for 116 yards on 23 carries (5.0 ypc) with a TD run.  The Steelers rushed for 176 yards and threw for 193 yards against the Browns while holding onto the football for 33:20 in this game.

The Steelers’ defense was awesome as usual on this day.  Safety Tyrone Carter had a huge game with 4 tackles and 2 interceptions (one that he returned 32-yards for a TD).  The Browns did have 106 yards rushing on 29 carries (3.7 ypc) in this game but they only completed 6 of 18 passes for 20 yards.  The Steelers get a bye in the first round of the playoffs for winning the AFC North with a 12-4 record.
