The Pittsburgh Steelers sign WR/KR Eddie Drummond
The Steelers have signed kick returner Eddie Drummond to compete with Mewelde Moore for the return jobs. Drummond played in 12 games for the Chiefs last season and he returned 37 kickoffs for 785 yards (21.2 avg) and 32 punts for 222 yards (6.9 avg). Drummond isn’t much of an offensive player so either he wins the job as kick/punt returner for the Steelers or he will be cut. Drummond has now played in 64 games in his NFL career and he has returned 250 kickoffs for 5,811 yards (23.2 avg) with 2 TD returns. Drummond has also returned 140 punts for 1,280 yards (9.1 avg) with 4 TD returns. This was a good low risk signing for the Steelers as Drummond might be able to help them.
