The Pittsburgh Steelers are on the clock…………….

Blogged under Bloglockers, The Draft Report, Front Page, General by dawgpounded on Sunday 15 April 2007 at 1:55 pm

I have conducted a complete 7 round draft for every team in the NFL.  If you want to see what I have projected for any other team in the NFL, click on the team name in the right hand margin and go to the team’s Draft Report page if you don’t see the article on the front page of the site.  This was a lot of work so I hope you enjoy it.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are switching to the 4-3 defense with Mike Tomlin at head coach, so look for them to focus on defense and the offensive line.  I know that’s no surprise to Steelers fans as Bill Cowher did the same thing on draft day most of the time.  With that in mind, here’s who I project the Steelers to add come draft day:

1. (15)  Darrelle Revis, CB, Pittsburgh

2. (46)  LeMarr Woodley, DE, Michigan

3. (77)  Ryan McBean, DT, Oklahoma State

4. (119)  Dwyane Wright, RB, Fresno State

4. (132)  DeAndre Jackson, CB, Iowa State

5. (156)  Kyle Young, C, Fresno State

5. (170)  Chase Johnson, OT, Wyoming

6. (192)  Chris Davis, WR, Florida State

7. (227)  Drew Mormino, C/G, Central Michigan

If the Steelers get all of these players they would be very pleased.  The defense would be better and the offensive line would get some decent depth.  The sleeper pick of this bunch would be RB Dwyane Wright who has a similar running style to that of Jerome Bettis.
