With the injuries to Cedrick Wilson and Hines Ward, Holmes will get the chance to really show what he’s got.  Holmes is blazing fast, but it seems like he has lacked concentration and courage so far.  He has played in all 12 games this season and has caught 33 passes for 504 yards (15.3 avg) and a TD.  Holmes has one carry for 13 yards and the Steelers might want to get back to some trick plays, which have been missing from their playbook so far this season.  Holmes also has gotten chances to return kicks and punts, but he’s had problems catching them and he has fumbled away a few kicks.  Holmes has returned 16 kick-offs for 390 yards (24.4 avg).  Santonio also returned 19 punts for 149 yards (7.8 avg).

The talent is there, it’s just time for Holmes to step up his play.
