The Steelers looked flat again against the Eagles on Friday night.  Ben Roethlisberger looked a little shaky out there for the first time in the pre-season.  He completed 9 of 14 passes for 52 yards and threw a lousy pass that was picked-off in the first quarter.  Charlie Batch looked good in relief.  Batch led the team on their lone drive that produced points.  Batch completed 10 of 15 passes for 72 yards and a TD.

The Steelers were trying to showcase Duce Staley for a trade, but he played terrible and the Steelers might wind up just cutting him.  Staley ran the ball 11 times for 21 yards.

The Steelers run defense looked really sharp holding the Eagles to 44 yards rushing on 20 carries.  The pass defense didn’t look as good allowing the Eagles to complete 60% of their passes for 229 net yards in the air.
