Could it be Super Bowl hangover why the Steelers have looked so awful?  Is it a lack of depth at alot of key positions?  Or is the team just not getting up for the pre-season games?  I believe that it is a combo of all three of those factors.  The bright spot has been the play of QB Ben Roethlisberger, who has taken some hits and made some nice throws so far….but that’s about it for the offense.  The Steelers are only averaging 91.5 yards per game rushing, but they are averaging 4.2 yards per carry which is pretty good.  The Steelers are averaging 200.5 yards per game through the air, but have only completed 53.4% of their passes.

The run defense has been very, very good.  The Steelers are giving up 89.0 yards rushing per game, but only an average of 2.7 yards per carry!  The pass defense is only giving up 171.5 yards per game, but opponents are completing an astounding 68.4% of their passes.
